How Vitamin K2 Can Save Your Life – Episode 54

#54 – How Vitamin K2 Can Save Your Life ** December 10, 2014
Guest // Kate Rhéaume-Bleue, ND ** Host // Sarah, The Healthy Home Economist

k2-jacketMillions of people are taking calcium and vitamin D supplements thinking they’re helping their bones. The truth is, without the addition of vitamin K2, such a health regimen could prove dangerous, even deadly.

Without vitamin K2, the body cannot direct calcium to the bones where it’s needed; instead, the calcium resides in soft tissue (like the arteries)—leading to a combination of osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, or the dreaded “calcium paradox.”

It’s time to bring attention to the enormous health benefits of Vitamin K2 in making the body less susceptible to dental cavities, heart disease, prostate cancer, liver cancer, diabetes, wrinkles, obesity, varicose veins, and other ailments.

Kate Rheaume-BlueKate Rhéaume-Bleue, ND is a popular health expert on Canadian television and radio, and a contributing editor to several health-related publications. She is the author of Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox. Kate graduated from McMaster University with an honors BSc in Biology and completed her professional training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Born and raised on Montreal’s West Island, Kate now makes her home in Ancaster, Ontario (just west of Hamilton) with her husband, sons and Chloe, the Great Dane.

SarahSarah Pope writes the very popular The Healthy Home Economist blog and devotes herself to raising three healthy children with her husband using traditional nutritional principles as her guide.
